Sr ATE Technician

Position Description:

The Sr. ATE Technician is responsible for supporting all ATE department operations including PCBA testing, quality and continuous improvement efforts as well as meeting all compliance standards. This position requires a technician who is able to independently follow through with scheduling and tracking of ATE department operations. The technician needs to be efficient with troubleshooting skills to identify, document and provide solutions.

The Sr. ATE Technician will be responsible for:

- Providing first level trouble shooting support for tests, testers, test fixture, and PCBA defects.
- Support ATE Technicians testing and programming of PCBAs; minimize down time and false failures and assisting with throughput.
- Document and coordinate solutions with internal departments and external vendors.
- Support ATE Engineers with test development and changes of test programs, fixtures and work instructions.
- Responsible for scheduling and coordination of maintenance, calibration and repair of ATE equipment.
- Responsible for stocking of ATE spare parts.
- Test Fixture hardware skills: wiring, re-pair, drilling, aliment checking and stack up measuring
- Ensuring ATE is complaint for LPAs (5s, safety walk throughs) and all Ametek policies

Position Requirements:

- Associates Degree in Electronics or Electronic Technology required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in testing with Genrad, Teradyne, 3070 or similar ICT test stations and ability to troubleshoot PCB defects down to component level.
- Excellent Communication skills
- Interpret electronic schematics, operate electronic measurement equipment
- Basic Computer skills and knowledge of Excel and Word.
- Able to work overtime if needed to meet production needs.
