Source Inspector

Unitek Technical Services provides supplier management, development, and related technical services to corporations around the world.

Job Description:

* The ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings, specifications, and the use of SME (Standard Measuring Equipment)

* Strong working knowledge of assembly, manufacturing and acceptance testing procedures a plus.

* The ability to execute an FAI (First Article Inspection) and basic understanding of AS9100 beneficial.

* Good communication skills, reliable and self-motivated with the ability to confidently work independantly with minimal supervision.

* ​ADDITIONAL SKILLS

* ​Electrical - Verifies completed product to purchase order, drawing and associated specifications., Ability to adequately inspect Aerospace level electronic components and assemblies. Includes CCA or PWB for industry specifications such as J-STD-001 and IPC 610

* Related Skills: Include but not limited to Complex Electrical, Power Supply, Printed Circuit Board (PCB/PWB), Printed Wiring Assemblies (PWA), Radio Frequency, Soldering, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) , Weld/Braze, Heat Treat. Composites, Optics, Manufacturing, Liquid Penetrant, Radiography, Ultrasonic, Mag Particle, Visual, Eddy Current, Surface Mount Technology, Polymerics

Unique Requirements to Basic Job Description:

MUST have strong electrical background

Additional Comments

* Travel is required and may extend beyond the local area.

* Initial supplier assignments may change to meet customer requirements.

* Work hours are not fixed or guaranteed and may extend beyond 30-40 hours per week to meet customer requirements. Stated hours are an estimate and do not constitute a guarantee of hours. Some assignments may be “on call”.

* Aerospace supplier experience is preferred and may be used as the primary selection criteria among equally qualified candidates.

* Candidate should have a personal laptop

* Applicant must be a US Citizen, we are unable to sponsor at this time

* W2 contract position to work on as needed basis
