Solution Architect

We are looking for a talented Solution Architect to own and facilitate the creation of solution architectures across the Jetstar Group. This role is focused on Jetstar’s operational systems.

Working in close collaboration with the Operations and Engineering business units this role will be responsible for ensuring the solution architectures support the business objectives and align to the broader Jetstar Group enterprise architecture and technology strategy.

Reporting to the Group Head of Strategic Technology Services, your main accountabilities will include:

• Responsibility for the creation of “just-in-time” solution architectures for various applications and development streams
• Ensuring the architecture is appropriately communicated and understood
• Liaising with stakeholders to scope and define solutions for business requirements
• Creating re-usable patterns and policies for application design and integration in line with Jetstar’s architecture framework
• Partnering with lines-of-business and key service providers/partners to ensure delivery of required level of service to support the Jetstar business
• Ensuring external suppliers are aligned with Jetstar’s technology strategy and comply with agreed delivery and architecture standards
• Contributing to technology strategy and architecture of relevant technology platforms
• Contributing to transformation initiatives, with a focus on driving business improvement
• Conduct technology research regarding market trends, identifying opportunities & challenges in the context of Jetstar to identify and drive technology innovations with relevant stakeholders

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following skills & experience:

• Tertiary education in Information Technology, Software Engineering or similar
• Significant experience in Information Technology / Operational Technology / Technology environment
• Substantial Architecture/tech lead experience in IT / OT / Technology
• Proven experience with designing and operating business critical systems, either commercial or operational
• Experience with large scale / enterprise level projects
• Experience with working within a dynamic and fast-paced team environment
• Experience in aviation and / or travel related industry (beneficial)
• Experience with engineering applications or operational technology (beneficial)
• Experience as a technical lead or solution architect in a complex domain involving multiple complex applications
