Software Engineer Senior I

You will demonstrate success by:
* Implement software changes to configured Training System baseline software. This position will implement approved software changes to configured software baselines utilizing established processes and procedures. Create new simulation models using established and new modeling techniques
* Perform software troubleshooting and discrepancy resolution
* Analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls
* Prepare operating instructions and software acceptance procedures
* Ensure software and quality standards are met

Design, develop, code, integrate and test simulation software to meet requirements
*
Working independently or in a team and provide engineering leadership within the team, experience with cost account management a plus
*
Apply software engineering principles to complete assigned tasks and meet schedule commitments
*
Accomplish full software development life cycle assignments
*
Determine functional requirements for computer software and simulation architecture

Qualifications
* Bachelors of Science (B.S.) Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or equivalent experience
* Prefer 3+ years of applied experience in Test or Integration Engineering including experience with verification and integration of custom software systems of high complexity
* Experience in LINUX, UNIX, based computer systems environment
* Experience using Software Configuration Management tools
* Experience with simulation, aircraft systems, Instructional Systems a plus
* Outstanding work ethic and commitment to organizational success
* Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, & presentation)
* Active DoD Top Secret Clearance, or ability to obtain one required
