Job Summary

The Integrated Solutions for Engineering (ISE) organization is seeking a software developer with a passion for problem solving and satisfying customers through the delivery of improvements to the global engineering ecosystem that provide compelling gains to the consistency, efficiency, and productivity of product development efforts across the enterprise.

ISE is at the forefront of providing Rockwell Collins product engineering teams with state-of-the-art solutions that dramatically increase their productivity and effectivity. The qualified individual will be able to develop tools that aid Engineering in performing their tasks more efficiently. This position is performed with minimal supervision and requires a candidate with a strong customer focus, highly-effective communication skills, a strong bias for action, and the ability to prioritize and advance multiple objectives.

Job Responsibilities

Develop and maintain new and existing capabilities

*

Gather and define user stories for new functionality

*

Conduct software verification and testing

*

Produce software design and test documentation and participate in peer reviews

*

Work within the Agile Scrum methodology to estimate, plan, and manage development activities

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline.

The successful candidate will be experienced with Object-Oriented Design and Development methodologies. The candidate will be involved with development and qualification testing of tools to migrate DOORS data to Jama. After the migration tool development is completed, we will have additional need for development of Java tools that allow disparate instances of Jama to interact with each other. DOORS and Jama experience are not required.

Preferred Skills/Experience

Highly organized, detail-oriented person with the ability to deliver per an agreed-to schedule while having the ability to adjust to and help problem solve when schedules/situations change

Experience with Java

*

Familiarity with change tracking and configuration management tools such as Jira and Subversion

*

Excellent communication skills
