The Autonomous and Intelligent Systems department of UTRC has an opening in the area of Software Development at the level of senior engineer. Candidates meeting a substantial subset of the criteria listed below are encouraged to apply.

The relevant aspects of SW Engineering include prototyping and implementing complex design and analysis tools, as well as advanced runtime SW systems for the management, planning, and control of intelligent and autonomous aerospace systems.

In particular, we are interested in candidates who will bring SW development (architecting, coding, validation, testing) expertise and a passion for efficient, high-quality implementation. Successful candidates will transform research ideas into convincing prototypes and into high quality SW products, to enable the next generation aerospace systems.

The successful candidate will be expected to be an expert developer and to be passionate about transforming ideas into working products.

Minimum of B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or other STEM disciplines, with 3 years of post-degree work experience. Preferred: M.S. in disciplines as outlined above and 2 year of post-degree work experience.

We are particularly interested in candidates with demonstrated experience in SW development including a solid core Computer Science curriculum.

Knowledge of logic and familiarity with Model Based Development environments and tools is a plus.
