Software Engineer Senior

You will demonstrate success by:

* Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software

* Working with customers, end users, system engineering teams, and software design teams

* Analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls

* Prepare operating instructions

* Ensure software quality standards are met

* Support software additions and testing of DIS (Distributed Interactive Simulation) interface for the instructor operator stations

* Create new simulation models using established and new modeling techniques

* Design, develop, code, integrate and test simulation software to meet requirements

* Apply sound engineering principles and develop innovative solutions

* Working independently or in a team and provide engineering leadership within the team, experience with cost account management a plus

* Apply software engineering principles to complete assigned tasks and meet schedule commitments

* Accomplish full software development life cycle assignments

* Determine functional requirements for computer software and simulation architecture

Qualifications

* Bachelors of Science (B.S.) Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or equivalent experience
* Prefer 5+ years of applied experience in Test or Integration Engineering including experience with verification and integration of custom software systems of high complexity
* Experience in ADA, C/C++/C#, Perl, Python, FORTRAN
* Experience in LINUX, UNIX, Windows
* Experience with networking and LAN/WAN topologies
*

Experience coding and updating according to Interface Change Notices & Technical Orders

*

Experience with simulation, aircraft systems, Instructional Systems a plus

*

Outstanding work ethic and commitment to organizational success

*

Proficient with Microsoft Office products

*

Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, & presentation)

*

Active DoD Top Secret Clearance, or ability to obtain one required
