Description:Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, home of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, delivers breakthrough capability and landmark aircraft that continually redefine flight. The F-35 Lightning II program is seeking world class software engineering talent to join our team and carry on the tradition of making history in advanced aircraft development.

The selected candidate will be a member of F-35 Offboard Mission Support and part of a highly motivated team executing new development and software maintenance for ground stations, aircraft avionics and mission systems. Responsibilities will span the technology development lifecycle including requirements generation, system and software design and implementation, and integration and flight test.

This position emphasizes integrity, problem solving, creative thinking and interpersonal skills.

Must be US citizen. The position is located at a facility that requires special access. Must be able to obtain a DoD security clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience with Windows or Linux development

• Experience with C# and C++ programming languages

• Experience with Object-Oriented Development
Desired Skills:
• Experience with XML, SQL, database and scripting languages (e.g. Perl, Unix shell, etc.)
• Experience with open source libraries (e.g. Xerces, Xalan, libcUrl, PCRE, etc.)
• Experience with integrated development environments (Visual Studio, Eclipse, etc.)
• Some familiarity with software AGILE processes
• Knowledge of security relevant software development to account for data security functional requirements
• Ability to follow disciplined coding standards and practices
• Desire for continuous learning and self-improvement
• Flexibility to take on various roles as the team requires
• Fast learner with good problem solving skills
