We currently have an exciting opening for an experienced Senior WHS Advisor to provide high quality WHS Guidance to managers and employees. The role is based at Melbourne Airport’s Jetstar terminals and includes a requirement to spend some time each week in our Collingwood Head Office.

Reporting to the Manager, Work Health and Safety, your accountabilities will include:

• Leading injury prevention strategies
• Being the first point of contact and ongoing interface with regulators
• Oversight of our Early Intervention partnership and EAP supplier
• Ongoing liaison with our international training providers
• Supply of accurate and meaningful data and information to WHS committees
• Assisting Managers comply with legislation and SMS policies/procedures
• Directing workplace consultation and communication
• Delivery of effective workplace issue resolution
• Provision of advice to employees, line management and Health and Safety Representatives
• Supporting safety colleagues during investigations, audits, observations and inspections
• Coordination of the injury management and Return to Work processes

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following skills & experience:

• Achievement or working toward a Diploma in Safety
• Proven experience as an Advisor in an Airline/Aviation environment
• Working knowledge of Victorian and Tasmanian regulations
• The ability to work effectively with professionals at all levels
• Strong WHS performance reporting experience
• Experience in WHS Risk Management
• Ability to provide high quality WHS advice
• Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
