This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Test Support Engineer to join a world renowned aerospace electronics business. The company, part of a global engineering business, specialise in the design, development and manufacture of complex control systems for the aviation industry.
The successful Senior Test Support Engineer will be providing their expertise to staff and cell managers to boost company effectiveness and aiding the business in staying at the forefront. The successful candidate will be required to obtain Security/ITAR clearance.
Senior Test Support Engineer Requirements:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent or proven experience in a similar role
- Competent and confident with environmental test equipment, thermal and vibration test
- Proven experience of managing projects involving sub-contractors and equipment suppliers
- The Senior Test Support Engineer should be able to develop test software using Labview and Teststand
Senior Test Support Engineer Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the day to day management of the Test Support team
- Updating or upgrading of existing test equipment, both hardware and software
- Manage and identify critical equipment spares to ensure high availability of test equipment
- Work with the Test Design Function to ensure manufacturing test equipment is fit for purpose and that knowledge is transferred to support hardware and software used in manufacture
