Report to: Technical Services Fleet Support Manager A350 & eOps

Purpose

The Senior Technical Services Engineer – Fleet Support (A350) reports to the Technical Services Fleet Support Manager – A350 and eOps, who is the duty holder for ensuring that the CX provided with safe, compliant and reliable aircraft, systems and components in a cost effective way. The post holder is accountable for the technical operational reliability performance and maintenance cost accountability for all A350 Aircraft.

Key Responsibilities

* 7 day technical support for Base or Line maintenance AOG or critical technical issues.

* Significant and repetitive defects management to minimise operational disruption.

* Operational reliability oversight to identify and mitigate emerging technical issues.

* Support Technical Services Reliability and Development team for longer term reliability management.

* Oversight of deferred defect levels and management of outsourced defect management functions to ensure service levels and targets are met.

* Management of operational reliability key drivers

* Management of technical investigations and corrective action implementation (ASR, MOR, QDR, etc)

* A350 fleet OEM and vendor management of performance, reliability and cost drivers.

* Review and action of Service bulletins and other OEM advisory documentation

* Currency and awareness of world fleet reliability issues through OEM documentation process management

* Oversight and optimisation of maintenance cost

Minimum Requirements / Experience

* Minimum 6.5 years’ experience in Engineering role

* Degree in Engineering or aerospace discipline or an equivalent professional qualification

* Reasonable aviation engineering knowledge and experience, preferably in Airbus aircraft systems role.

* Reasonable supplier management experience
