We are searching for a Senior Systems Engineer II in our Advanced Systems & Technologies (AS&T) division, located in Plano, TX.

L3 AS&T is built on the proposition that a small team of the right people can do what others will not even attempt. We specialize in developing disruptive, next-generation technologies for advanced small Unmanned Air Systems (UAS / UAV), advanced radar systems, next-generation weapon systems, and other RF sensor technologies using small company agility and big company experience. As the
Senior Systems Engineer II , you’ll use your keen radar knowledge to define requirements, flowdown, and traceability for cutting-edge and complex electronic systems that support our warfighters. Using excellent people skills, you may lead a small engineering team in our collaborative, multi-disciplinary, and dynamic team environment.

You will demonstrate success by:

* Performing system design synthesis of electronic systems

* Conducting trade studies on a variety of system issues and components

* Developing and running simulations and other analysis tools to predict system performance in various environments, and present results during internal and external program meetings

* Using judgment to plan cost and schedule of development and test activities

* Developing, tracking, and presenting technical metrics

* Supporting risk assessment and development of mitigation strategies

Qualifications

*

Must be US Citizen and have existing DoD clearance with current 5-year update; ability to obtain any additional clearances as required

*

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science; Master’s degree preferred

* A minimum of 7 - 10 years’ experience in a related engineering field

* Design, development and/or testing of radar and/or other RF system

* Familiarity with radar system components including antenna, receiver, exciter, and processor

* Proficient with Matlab

* Desired skills include C programming, DOORs experience, cost account manager and Design to Cost experience, and working knowledge of military standards

*

Physical Requirements include the ability to travel up to 10% and ability to lift up to 20 pounds
