Job Description

CACI is seeking Senior System Engineer to support a large DON BCAT 1 COTS implementation program. You will be responsible for leading a team of engineers tasked with developing and implementing an overarching enterprise architecture supporting the technical refresh of disparate legacy systems. The candidate must be experienced in interfacing with both client managers and system users and be able to direct a team of engineers. The successful candidate for this position will be the technical authority and maintain overall responsibility for the engineering, development and administration of an enterprise architecture compromising local, remote, and continuity of operation sites in support of continuous work cycle.

What You’ll Get to Do:

* Manage all engineering related processes and projects
* Act as systems architect/team leader in multi-engineer teams, working on areas such as cloud technology services, cybersecurity, network infrastructure, client engineering, AC and software projects. Assumes primary responsibility for system design and implementation
* Consult with DoD client to determine needs and meet with clients on an on-going basis throughout system development.
* Perform analyses to determine resources needed and work with engineers in a multi-vendor environment.
* Coordinate and plan IT projects with the Program Manager in collaboration with other vendors
* Lead the implementation of Agile software development

You’ll Bring these Qualifications:

* 8+ years of directly related experience in Systems Engineering
* COTS implementation expertise
* Managing a team of cross-functional personnel in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
* Ability to effectively communicate technical needs and issues to management and non-technical personnel.
* Ability to build consensus and resolve complex issues in a timely fashion.
* Experience with building and maintaining effective relationships with external stakeholders and government leadership.
* Software development lifecycle (SDLC) experience to include both waterfall and agile
* Experience with Microsoft Project
* Experience with PMBOK, Agile and Waterfall Project Management Methodologies
* Demonstrated knowledge of Naval Ship Maintenance community
* Secret Clearance is required

These Qualification Would be Nice to Have:

* Five (5) years of professional experience as a Chief Engineer, Technical Director, or Engineering/Technical Program Manager for a DoD IT or DBS program
* A BS in an engineering discipline from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited institution
