Aerojet Rocketdyne is seeking a Senior Quality Analyst (Documentation Control) to join our facility in Culpeper, Virginia.

Under limited general direction, performs various activities as Lead of the SM-3 Quality Documentation Control Center in accordance with Aerojet Rocketdyne command media, customer contractual requirements using established Aerojet Rocketdyne operating systems (Oracle, Delmia, Teamcenter) and the Microsoft Office Suite.

This position may be filled at this level or one level higher.

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

40% - Perform documentation review in support of Hardware Acceptance Review (HAR) activities. Interface with cross-functional teams and individuals to ensure documentation discrepancies are corrected prior to customer review and to assist in identifying effective methods for implementing “best practices” for process documentation completion and correction. Review NC Summaries and As-Built Configuration Reports compiled by non-exempt QDCC personnel for accuracy prior to submittal to the customer.

30% - Provide leadership, guidance, and training to non-exempt SM-3 Quality Documentation Control Center (QDCC) personnel. Develop and maintain QDCC-related command media and training documentation. Reinforce standardized QDCC processes in support of SM-3 1B and SM-3 2A customer HAR requirements. Act as primary interface with Sacramento QDCC personnel to identify opportunities for improvement related to the shared SM-3 QDCC processes.

15% - Monitor manufacturing schedule and QDCC activities to ensure timely and accurate completion of build books. Recommend adjustments to QDCC personnel tasks and assignments in alignment with deliverable milestones.

15% - Coordinate iHAR activities with customer and government representatives. Create Ammunition Data Cards and Acceptance Data Packages for deliverable hardware. Present to customer for review and acceptance and upload to designated customer repositories in support of end item deliverable requirements.

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate science and 6 years of experience in a directly related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Prior experience and knowledge of Quality Documentation Control Center methodologies and customer HAR activities a PLUS.

US Citizenship required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (U.S. Citizenship required). Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit or stand and maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 pounds; may require occasional walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
