As a Senior Inventory Controller (C&E), your manager will assign duties to align with your Section Responsibilities detailed below. The Senior Inventory Controller (C&E) will be expected to support the Lead Inventory Controller (C&E) in executing initiatives in the areas defined below, both internally and externally. The scope of activities allocated will depend on the experience and seniority of the Senior Inventory Controller.

Job Summary:

* Ensuring availability of compliant expendables and consumables (including for airframe, powerplant and cabin) against the agreed service levels.

* Procuring mod-kits in a timely fashion to allow implementation of approved modifications in the fleet.

* Minimising the cost of ownership of expendables and consumables whilst meeting the required availability service levels

* Maximising warranty and insurance recovery under the terms and conditions of existing contracts as well as for ad-hoc incidents.

Key responsibilities:

* Based on achieved service levels, assess C&E re-order levels (at HKG, BM stations, and line stations) on a regular basis and adjust as required.

* Ensure C&E programs are properly implemented via definition of clear Interface/Operating Manuals and proper training/briefing of all involved stakeholders.

* Regularly review C&E program scope coverage based on operational experience and adjust as required.

* Define and monitor KPI’s for service providers in the C&E availability process.Drive improvement plans when required.

* Selection, in consultation with Procurement department, of C&E program suppliers.

* Vetting and validation of invoices.

* Represent supply chain management in modification implementation process.

* Ensure proper supply of mod-kits for modification programs.

* Regular review of actual C&E costs (both usage and stockholding) versus industry benchmarks and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) baselines to identify cost-drivers and initiate cost mitigation actions where required.

* As part of fleet phase-outs, identify and collate details of surplus stock and manage their sales to maximise value for CX.

* Collect and maintain market intelligence on available Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) suppliers and initiate PMA development to achieve cost reduction and/or better availability of parts.

* As part of new aircraft induction, ensure that BFE parts are procured and delivered to the aircraft final assembly line.

* Pro-actively review operational data to identify potential warranty events and initiate claim process

* Submit warranty claims for manual component repair orders, SB’s/AEO’s, transport damage, etc under Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) industry support offers, or contractual warranty terms.

* Update warranty terms & conditions in Ultramain due to receipt of new assets, new vendor contracts.

* Provide inputs to company insurance team for insurance claims as relevant

* Advise and provide inputs to APD on warranty terms and conditions to be included (or updated) in supplier contracts.

Requirements:

* 6.5 years experience in aircraft maintenance and/or engineering processes. Exposure to inventory management, technical services, and/or procurement.

* More than 2 years in an Inventory Controller’s role (or equivalent)

* Degree in Engineering / Aerospace or Logistics discipline or other engineering field. Alternatively, other relevant qualifications, combined with extensive practical experience in airline material management

* Good analytical skills and process-oriented.

* Good commercial & financial awareness and acumen.Able to work with external suppliers to extract maximum value from contracts.

* Strong in communication, influencing and negotiation skills.Able to build and maintain collaborative relationships.

* Drive for excellence.

* Adaptable and responsive to change. Demonstrated ability to identify and drive process improvements.

* Proven ability to execute plans with involvement of other sections within CX.
