Senior Electronics Process Engineer

Our Space and Defense group in East Aurora, NY is hiring for a Senior Electronics Process Engineer. As the Senior Process Engineer you will be the focal point for resolving all questions/problems concerning the design, manufacture, assembly and test of production hardware as it relates to Surface Mount Technology. This includes concurrent engineering of circuit board design, and the processes / equipment to manufacturer the CCA. You will initiate changes and deviations to the design or specification requirements. You will serve as the primary contact for customers, vendors, and internal Moog personnel on all technical problems and questions. As well, you will frequently function in the manner of a program manager, on technical problems, coordinating Moog resources for the solution of a problem and communicating timely information to the affected groups within Moog and to the customer/supplier levels. Some of the core products you will be working on include: Circuit Card Assemblies, Cable Assemblies and Electric Boxes. As a Senior Electronics Process Engineer, you can expect to… * Provide production assembly/test instructions, training and monitoring to maintain production. * Evaluate, request, and implement equipment to meet production requirements. * Assure and maintain design integrity, producibility and quality in production products. * Provide product engineering support as required to other Moog departments to maintain and improve quality, schedule, and cost objectives. * Author routings, Op sheets, AWs * Create machine programming, solder profiling, tooling and fixturing to A&T Operations * Provide on demand support to A&T Operations as required from kit pull thru stock * Address stop work issues in a timely fashion– e-HR and NC, communicating timely information to the affected groups within Moog and to the customer/supplier levels. A successful candidate will have… * Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, preferably in Electrical, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering * 8+ years of experience as a manufacturing, process or methods engineer * Experience in high mix, low volume, high reliability electronics manufacturing methods, including: SMT, PTH, soldering, cleaning, polymeric applications, cable assembly, box build, rework and repair * Experience in Electronics Processing capital planning, specifications, acquisition and qualification * Experience in Electronics Design for X – Review designs throughout the design cycle for DFM, DFA, DFT and DFC * Technical expertise in Materials and Chemicals used in electronics manufacturing process EOE/AA Minority/Female/Disability/Veteran/Sexual Orientation/ Gender Identity
