The Passenger Rights and Liability Claims team act as an advisory body for the rest of the organization and shall ensure that internal and external information along with procedures are in accordance with the applicable law.

The team work with international aviation law and regulations in addition to national law related to passenger rights and passenger handling. This includes handling court cases from all jurisdictions Norwegian operates in, either individually or in cooperation with local legal councils.

The team is also responsible for communication with National Enforcement Bodies and other authorities. In addition, the team is specialized in dealing with sensitive matters involving passengers with special needs and also liability claims related to bodily injury.

The position will offer an opportunity for growth in a fast-paced environment. Some work-related travel may occur.

Job description

• Handle cases from the National Enforcement Body in various countries in Europe

• Coordinate with and support our external lawyers in court cases in all jurisdictions Norwegian operates in.

• Assist other departments within the organization in matters concerning passenger rights

• Dialog with authorities and non-governmental organizations on relevant matters

• Handle liability cases related to Bodily Injury

Qualifications

• Applicants with legal background will be preferred, newly graduates will be considered

• Good knowledge to legal processes. Experience with the legal processed in Scandinavia is an advantage

• Experience in the airline industry is an advantage

• Experience in case management, especially in legal areas, is desirable

Personal qualities

• Must be fluent in a Scandinavian language in addition to English, both orally and in writing

• Must be able to work independently, but function in teams across borders

• Comfortable working with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Strong work ethic
