Description

Reporting to the Manger - Consulting, the Consultant II, IATA Consulting, is responsible for supporting the delivery of consulting projects and the business development efforts in IATA Consulting.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate is expected to:

1. Collect data and research information pertaining to aviation stakeholders including airports, airlines, civil aviation authorities, cargo operators and ground handlers, through desktop research, interviews and database usage.

2. Carry out analysis and develop models using Excel and / or any other software applications.

3. Prepare written reports (in Word or PowerPoint format) required for the delivery of the consulting projects.

4. Manage consulting sub-projects which may include the management of the relationship with the client, management of budget and time frame, management of subject matter experts dedicated to the project and supervision of the delivery.

5. Partake in business development initiatives: identification of business leads, press reading, participation to commercial meetings, preparation of Expression-of-Interests, support to the Sales team and preparation of technical proposals.

6. Support administrative processes: revenue and purchase contract preparation, travel organization and appointment making.

Qualifications and Skills

The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications, skills and experience including academic:

* College degree (bachelors required, and post-graduation will be a big advantage) in Business Administration, Economics or Engineering;
* Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as Aviation Consultant;
* Excellent PC skills, particularity with MS Office Programs (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) and MS Project;
* Excellent oral and written communication skills in English language. Knowledge of a third language such as Spanish or Portuguese would be an advantage;
* Other competencies: Analytical skills; customer and quality-oriented attitude and approach; creative, entrepreneurial spirit; team player; openness to travel;
* Ability to lawfully work in the U.S. will be preferred;
