Purpose:

As a Senior Engineer your manager will assign duties to align with section responsibilities detailed below.

* Managing assigned projects; tasks or delivering key milestones for the introduction of new cabin equipment and furniture to the CX fleet. To evaluate that equipment and furniture can meet HKG regulatory requirements and CX specifications, and that CX Product and design requirements are able to translate into feasible, technical terms.

* Support costing; man hour and A/C input time estimates for cabin programmes. Support supplier selection process and contract negotiations and manage suppliers to deliver to CX programme schedule.

* Compile and approve Aircraft [Cabin] Engineering Orders and other technical instructions

Section responsibilities include:

* Project managing and overseeing cabin programmes to ensure the quality of work and project delivery meets CX requirements.

* Delivering assigned Technical Services functions in support of cabin programmes and cabin operations.

* Delivery of cabin projects and initiating improvements that improve safety, efficiency and cost.

* Building strong working relationships with cabin suppliers and MROs. Ensure cost effective (MRO) on-site support for cabin retrofit programmes as required

* Support and drive cabin safety and reliability improvements through structured cross-functional engagement with key stakeholders (e.g. ISD; KA ISD). Manage assigned meetings as required.

* Evaluation; costing and project planning of new livery designs or one-off paint schemes.

Requirements:

* Minimum 6.5 years’ experience in aircraft maintenance and/or engineering. Relevant experience in cabin engineering.

* Degree in Engineering / Aerospace discipline.

* Proven experience in supporting and delivering projects and working with cross functional teams

* Good leadership skills. Proven ability to work across departments; OEMs

* Good communication, influencing and negotiation skills

* Drive for excellence.

* Adaptable and responsive to change.

* Currently holding, or qualified to hold, a position in the Design Organisation will be an advantage
