Senior Cabin Programme Engineer

Department: ENG - Fleet Programmes

Reports To: Cabin Programmes Manager

Purpose:

* Managing assigned projects; tasks or delivering key milestones for the introduction of new cabin equipment to the Cathay Pacific fleet. To evaluate the equipment can meet Hong Kong regulatory requirements and Cathay Pacific specifications, and that Cathay Pacific Product and design requirements are able to translate into feasible technical terms.

* Support costing; man hour and aircraft input time estimates for cabin programmes. Support supplier selection process and contract negotiations and manage suppliers to deliver to the Cathay Pacific programme schedule.

* Compile and approve Aircraft [Cabin] Engineering Orders and other technical instructions.

Section Responsibilities:

* Project manage and oversee cabin programmes to ensure the quality of work and project delivery meets Cathay Pacific requirements

* Deliver assigned Technical Services functions to support cabin programmes and cabin operations

* Delivery of fleet projects and initiate improvements to improve safety, efficiency and cost

* Build strong working relationships with cabin suppliers and Maintenance Repair Organisations (MROs). Ensure there is cost effective on-site support for cabin retrofit programmes as required

* Support and drive cabin safety and reliability improvements through structured cross-functional engagements with key stakeholders. Manage assigned meetings as required

* Evaluation; costing and project planning of cabin avionics systems

Experience, Key Skills & Qualifications:

* Minimum 6.5 years’ experience in aircraft maintenance and/or engineering. Relevant experience in cabin engineering- avionics.

* Degree in Engineering, Electronics, Aeronautics discipline.

* Proven experience in supporting and delivering projects and working with cross functional teams.

* Good leadership skills. Proven ability to work across departments; OEMs.

* Good communication, influencing and negotiation skills..

* Drive for excellence.
