Overview

Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual account roll forward schedules for various balance sheet accounts for Atlas Air and Polar Air. Prepare monthly and quarterly expense analysis and variance to plan explanations. Assist in the documentation of Sarbanes Oxley section 404 compliance.

Responsibilities

* Ability to work with outside auditors, Atlas accounting, finance and operational personnel
* Prepare analysis to ensure accurate expense recognition in accordance of GAAP
* Ability to interpret and summarize accounting impact on long term contracts
* Assist in control documentation and remediation of SOX controls relating to sales to cash process
* Available to work extended hours as needed
* Ability to work effectively with large groups of data
* Must have excellent PC skills (Excel, Word)
* Special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

* Experience working with public reporting companies
* Experience working with budgeting, forecasting, P&L analysis and cost benefit analysis
* Minimum education requirements – Bachelor’s in Accounting
* CPA a plus (with Big 4 experience)
* 4-6 years of experience
* Excellent computer skills in spreadsheet, database application required
* Knowledge of Sarbanes –Oxley, particularly Section 404
* Highly organized individual with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
* JD Edwards software experience helpful
* Airline experience a plus
