Job Description
What You’ll Get to Do:
As a Security Engineer, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and oversight in assessing CI relevance, priorities, and vulnerabilities.
Your responsibilities will include the following:
* Conducting CI technical assessments
* Identifying network and/or commercial services of CI/operational interest, providing strategic assessments, and generate sophisticated CI proposals and countermeasures
* Analyzing systems and network documentation from System Security Plans, Concepts of Operation, Network Architectural Diagrams, and Procurement methods to gain insight into system designs and use cases to identify any security vulnerability
* Conducting vulnerability and compliance scans and document findings
* Providing detailed analysis of all security findings, including security scan results in the form of an Assessment Report and the overall vulnerability state of the system
* Recommending ways of improving and mitigating the security state of the network, through comprehensive CI assessment and rating of the vulnerabilities and risks
* Assisting with preparing presentations for briefing at various internal and external security review boards
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
* Knowledge of risk assessment tools, technologies, and methods.
* Experience designing secure networks, systems, and application architectures
Desired Certification:
* Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
* Security+
* Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
* Cisco Certified Network Engineer
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
* Strong multi-tasking skills and detail oriented
* Well organized
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Education and Experience Requirements:
* 12 Years of job related experience and High School/GED diploma
* 10 Years of job related experience and Associate degree
* 8 Years of job related experience and Bachelor’s degree
* 6 Years of job related experience and Master’s degree
* 4 Years of job related experience and Doctorate
Work Hours: Core Hours 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
