We have an excellent opportunity for a Security Assistant to support facility and personnel security operations in our California, MD office. This position will report directly to our Director of Security and requires a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive work ethic! Primary Duties and Responsibilities This role will require the ability to work independently and establish and maintain working relationships with supervisors, colleagues, customers and other government agencies as needed. This role will also be responsible for processing new employee security clearances, tracking security clearance investigations, and performing administrative support functions to include Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) and eQIP administration. * Assist the Director of Security and FSO in all areas of the ZENETEX security program * Provide security briefings, debriefings, and awareness training for personnel * Process necessary badge requests for government facilities * Processing outgoing visit requests and certifications * Review, process and screen SF86 forms, and associated paperwork, for accuracy * Security policy and direction consistent with the Company and Government regulations * Provide answers/analyses to address questions and concerns from management * Maintaining personnel security clearances and special access records for the organization * Provide foreign travel and Counter Intelligence briefings to employees and consultants * Provide document control support to the collateral programs. Wrap, transport and track classified material to and from the facility Education and Experience Requirements * High school diploma or equivalent required * 3-5 years’ of administrative experience required * Experience in a DoD environment and/or supporting a Security program preferred * Working knowledge of NISPOM requirements, JPAS, and e-QIP desired * Experience in processing SF-86, SF-312, Security Investigations and Periodic Reinvestigations also desired * Must have, or be able to pass, STEPP/DSS required training * Ability to create and maintain security files for employees, consultants, and independent contractors in accordance with NISPOM and DSS guidelines * Ability to produce, prepare, distribute, instruct, log, and keep security training for all employees. * Ability to prepare and send VARs/VALs to government both hard copy and in JPAS for meeting requests and CAC/Badge requests * Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects, organize and prioritize numerous tasks * Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office and SharePoint * Must have excellent customer service skills and strong interpersonal skills * Must be able to juggle competing demands and prioritize work with a sense of urgency in a dynamic environment * Must be able to work independently * Ability to discreetly handling of sensitive information Security Clearance * This position will require U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance.
