Job Description

The Sales Engineer will have the responsibility for supporting and implementing sales and revenue growth within our markets, through the management of new and existing customer accounts.

Responsibilities:

* Develop detailed knowledge of PTG, its products and applications, competitors and markets.
* Keep management up-to-date on sales and market activities, developments and trends.
* Detailed analysis and follow up on quotations.
* Tracking and ensuring new opportunities and trials are followed internally, ensuring quality standards and delivery deadlines are completed.
* Work closely with internal company departments to ensure accurate information, timely delivery and services are provided to customers
* Prepare customer visit reports, weekly and monthly sales reports.
* Communicating with and supporting customers with any queries or concerns they may have.
* Coordinating with engineering, production and quality departments to resolve customer issues.
* Develop and maintain professional relationships with customers.

qualifications

* Degree educated or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject (e.g. Engineering, marketing or a technical discipline).
* 2 years professional business to business sales experience.

Skills, attributes and experience

* Engineering background and knowledge of engineering production methods preferred.
* Experience in manufacturing, engineering, sales and marketing is a distinct advantage.
* Good communication skills; written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation.
* Good commercial knowledge
* Strong influencing and negotiation skills
* Excellent organizational skills
* Pro-active, self-starter, able to work independently without supervision at times.
* Good attention to detail, resulting in high level of accuracy in all aspects of the position.
* Ability to prioritize work effectively and multi task.
* High level of proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
* Must have positive attitude and be motivated by the role and its responsibilities.
* Willingness to grow with the business and the role.
* Exercise discretion and confidentiality.
* High level of professionalism and integrity, operates to the highest ethical and professional standards.
* Ability to learn quickly
* Use creative approaches to achieve goals.
* Travel to other nationwide locations for training and trade shows as and when required.
