We are currently looking for an ambitious Safety Analyst to join our fast paced JANZ safety team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an analytical mind with aviation knowledge to drive further development of our Safety analytical capability.

Reporting to the Safety and Governance Systems Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

• Building and utilising the analytical function of Jetstar’s Safety Data Management System (Starsafe) and associated tools and processes, as well as providing expertise in the identification and analysis of trends
• Responsible for provision of validated and accurate safety risk data analytics on a daily basis
• Influence the development of increased safety analytical capability across the organisation
• Contribute to the ongoing safety reporting requirements at a department and organisational level
• Provide valid input into strategies aimed at improving the value of the safety analysis capabilities of the department
• Responsible for tasks carried out in support of the Head of Safety or Manager Safety and Governance Systems as required

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following skills & experience:

• Relevant qualifications in analysis, safety, risk or related field, or equivalent preferred
• Exceptional data, analytical and statistical capability
• Operational Analyst/Business Analyst/Project management experience desired
• Aviation Safety Management System or Quality Management System exposure preferred
• The ability to work effectively with professionals at all levels
• Very strong computer skills, in particular the use of Business Intelligence or statistical data tools
