The Software Testing Engineer level 2 will have a minimum of 3 – 6 years of experience in testing software systems within defined requirement, subject to budget and technology constraints.

• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

• Must have excellent communication skills for team interaction and to document and present technical issues in a straightforward and understandable way.

• Must have good analytical skills to solve problems & think of testing scenarios.

• Experience in SDLC process with medium and or large projects.

Requirements:

• Software Testing Engineer will be responsible for creating, maintaining and executing test scripts and manual test cases; tracking and analysis of results; and coordinating with onsite and off-site software engineers. In addition, the Software Test Engineer will develop and execute manual and automated testing as per requirement.

• Interface with requirement analyst, developers, test group personnel, and other stakeholders.

• Review, analyze and comprehend software requirements. Create and update test cases and test data based on review comments or new requirements or from other specifications.

• Ability to assist with development of test plan including test requirements, configuration, and recommendations.

• Estimate testing scope and time requirements.

• Working knowledge of web based application.

• Test Automation: Developing and maintaining automated test scripts using automated testing software.

• Test Execution: Executing manual and automated test cases and reporting results.

• Basic knowledge of installations & test environment creations. Ability to identify issues related to environment and installations.

• Proficient in knowledge of defect lifecycle process.

• Report defects Prepare test reports and communicate testing status to supervisor

• Analyze test execution to find causes and workarounds for defects

• Identify key issues in software applications through testing processes.

• Escalate issues to supervisors or managers, other duties as assigned
