Revenue Management Coordinator Sales Sub saharian Africa – with location in Brussels

Mission

The Revenue Management Coordinator is responsible for input delivery to central revenue management units in order to ensure an optimal positioning of the LH Group and JV products in the assigned markets and to achieve a revenue increase in quantity and quality. She/he analyzes, monitors and optimizes the competitiveness of the LH Group and JV products, by collecting market relevant competitor information in particular non-publicly available, such as competitive positioning, common market & competitor practices and booking behavior for the different customer target groups. She/he ensures the distribution of price-/RM-related information within the GP region.

Dependent on the assignment focus the tasks include the following:

Pricing & Steering Coordination

* Acts as interface, facilitator and enabler between local Sales organization and Revenue Management

* Establishes and submits special target group requests and business cases according standard process with pre-defined threshold

* Is consulted for corporate frame adjustments, preparing OBR form in cooperation with the respective account management, filing of tariffs for corporate accounts

* Creation, review and optimization of distribution lists (e.g. local and global pricing products, TTL exceptions, etc.) and distribution of relevant pricing information to all markets in the GP region

* Ensuring a seamless flow of pricing related and revenue management information and ensuring communication with all relevant departments and external customers

* Acts as a safety net and consolidates/reports questionable availability displays to the central pricing interface (including O&D steering)

* Technical support for autopricing- / autoticketing based on reactive agent or customer feedback, follow-up with the respective GDS helpdesk

* Build substantiated business cases for pricing requests for submission to central units and – if applicable – JV Pricing Team incl. segment specific O&D steering adjustment in accordance with defined Revenue Management processes and revenue thresholds; consolidates requests with local sales contacts of JV airlines if applicable

Analyzing Competition, Market Trends & Developments

* Continuous benchmark evaluation and analyses of competitors (e.g. pricing strategies including O&D steering, schedule, product, sales and marketing activities) in the market with special focus on non-published fares

* Analyze booking and travel behavior of relevant target groups (booking trends, seasonal developments, market specific trends, corporates restrictions in travel policies, etc.) and derive conclusions to ensure that pricing & O&D steering activities exploit market potential to maximum extent

* Consulting role to assess severity of disruption (Voluntary Courtesy Waiver Rules)

* Gather and forward information about country specific business environment (political or social developments, currency effects, changes in national laws & regulations, etc)

* Analyze Agent and Sales Channel Structures with its pertaining developments (online, offline, form of payment, booking solution used, …)

* Contribute local input to the global events list (GEL) for the forecasting / steering team

* Participation on regular meetings with central pricing including O&D steering

* Participation in other duties as assigned
