The Resilience Manager will ensure that London City Airport has comprehensive emergency and contingency plans for Aerodrome Operations, to ensure effective emergency response and business continuity

Responsibilities:

* To develop and maintain an on-going emergency and contingency planning strategy for Aerodrome Operations

* To raise awareness (identifying training requirements) of these plans to relevant key stakeholders

* Ensure that the emergency plans for all key stakeholders are integrated

* Ensure that updates to the emergency plans are included in the emergency orders and that updates are circulated to copy holders

* Overall coordination and co-planning of the biennial emergency exercise

* Ensure effective communications at all times with key stakeholders in respect of emergency planning

* Ensure that records of emergency and contingency planning related meetings and events are archived and available for future reference

* Audit staff awareness of emergency plans within LCY and relevant stakeholders, in accordance with the LCY Operational QMS (to be developed)

* Chair the Emergency Planning Committee and coordinate table-top exercises and workshops

* Ensure that Aerodrome Operational departments (Airfield Operations, Airport Fire Service) have robust contingency plans to ensure operations can be maintained during periods of disruption.

Experience and Personal Attributes:

* Good standard of English language written skills

* Experience of working with senior managers and external professional authorities

* Knowledge of developing emergency and contingency plans

* Self motivated.

* Excellent inter-personal skills

Hours of Work:

40 hrs per week between hours of 09:00 – 17:30 Monday to Friday, however some weekend or evening work may occasionally be required.
