Job Description:

This assignment involves modeling, simulation, design and testing of electrical circuits to control photonic systems and advanced computing systems. Candidates will partake in small, focused development teams in order to create real world solutions using scientific first principals into innovative designs for applied technologies.

Proficiency with electrical engineering principles and tools is required. Proficiency with Verilog or VHDL for FPGA design is preferred. Proficiency with MATLAB, Simulink, Labview, SPICE and/or other modeling and simulation tools is required. Basic knowledge of C or C++ is preferred. Hands on experience with photonics and/or high frequency RF systems is preferred.

Candidates would work on one or more of the following topics:
* Embedded processing and algorithms for military applications
* Lab testing and integration of high performance ruggedized photonic/fiber optic systems
* Support modeling and simulation efforts related to these systems
* Support electrical and/or software design efforts related to these systems
Basic Qualifications:
* Proficiency with electrical and computer engineering theoretical principles
* Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or other relevant major
Desired Skills:
* Proficiency with electrical design tools such as Cadence, Mentor, or similar.

* Proficiency with electrical circuit analysis tools such as Spice or similar.

* Digital circuit design experience.

* FPGA design experience in VHDL and/or Verilog.

* Experience with embedded systems software programming in C or C++.

* Proficiency with MATLAB, Simulink, and/or Labview

* Theoretical or practical experience with RF systems.

* Analog circuit design experience.
