Responsibilities
Leads and directs the Team that manages the repair and materials requirements for SWA’s APU and APU-related line replaceable units
WORK ACTIVITIES/CONTEXT:
* Ensures accurate documentation and records exist to support departmental reporting and performance management
* Develops a competent, productive, knowledgeable, effective, and Customer Service-oriented Team by recruiting and hiring qualified applicants; providing training on departmental policies, procedures and compliance
* Assigns work responsibilities and evaluates the individual performance of the Team
* Oversees support for procure-to-pay transactions and ensures timely resolution of Customer issues
Supply Chain Management:
* Effectively solves escalated vendor relationship issues, problems, and contractual disputes
* Applies proficient knowledge of organization, value chain, process, and synergies
* Has deep knowledge of operational logistics functions such as transport, forwarding of goods, shipping, purchasing, materials planning, planning of manufacturing, and supply; serves as a resource for policy development and changes
Supply Chain Optimization:
* Applies problem-solving methods to identify the root causes of problems or events; coaches Employees to do the same
* Uses creative problem solving to continually seek ways to avoid aircraft on the ground (AOG)
* Proactively and regularly explores innovative alternatives to current practices; participates in regular knowledge-sharing and brainstorming with peers and Leaders
Performance Metrics:
* Develops and maintains effective performance reporting to successfully track Employee performance
* Based on Employee performance metrics, plans training and other interventions such as coaching
* Regularly and systematically gathers Department metrics for reporting to Sr Leadership; plans for ways to close any performance gaps in a timely fashion
Must be able to meet any physical ability requirements listed on this description.
May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders.
Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
* High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.
* Must be at least 18 years of age.
* Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
EDUCATION:
* Four-year undergraduate degree required; business administration; supply chain management; aviation logistics; finance; accounting; industrial engineering/distribution; economics; mechanical, electrical, chemical, or aerospace engineering; or degrees in similar disciplines preferred
* Can substitute five years of Supply Chain Management experience for degree
* MBA or MS in above disciplines preferred
WORK EXPERIENCE:
* Minimum of three years of experience in a professional environment such as supply chain, finance, accounting, engineering required
* Minimum two years Leadership experience required
* Experience in vendor and/or supplier relationship management preferred
LICENSING/CERTIFICATION:
* Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP), Certified Professional Purchasing Manager (CPPM), Certified Green Purchasing Professional (CGPP), Certified Professional in Distribution and Warehousing (CPDW), Certificate in Procurement and Supply Operations (CPSO), Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), or other equivalent Supply Chain Management certification preferred
* Project Management Professional (PMP) strongly preferred
* Lean-Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred
* A&P license strongly preferred
PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
* Ability to perform work duties from desk/office work area for extended periods of time
SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE/WORK STYLE:
Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.
* Working knowledge of Ariba & SAP preferred
* Proficient analytical skills required

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
* Must meet confidentiality expectations as to confidential, proprietary, and sensitive Company information
* Ability to work flexible hours and meet deadlines successfully, at times with frequent interruptions
* Must have or be able to obtain a U.S. Passport
* Possible travel domestically and/or internationally 5-10%
Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines.
