We have an exciting opportunity in our Engineering department and are currently looking for a Reliability Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for collection, analysis and distribution of data as defined in the Jetstar Reliability Program for the Jetstar Group Airlines in an effort to improve reliability, reduce maintenance costs and maintain high levels of operational performance, whilst ensuring compliance with any applicable National Airworthiness Authority regulatory requirements.

Reporting into the Senior Reliability Engineer you will:

• Monitor daily OTP issues
• Manage the production, analysis and distribution of all reports as outlined in the Approved Reliability Program.
• Collect and review delay reports to ensure reliability issues are addressed
• Conduct in depth analysis into Fleet Reliability Issues and recommend changes to the Reliability Control Board for inclusion in the Approved Maintenance Program.
• Collect all appropriate data efficiently and completely.
• Provide Engineering/Safety/OTP departments with access to Reliability data and trends
• Scheduled task card and CPCP task analysis and reporting to Airbus
• Ensure all MDRs are investigated and resolved.
• Review and highlight aircraft, engine/APU and components performance, create Alert Notices and drive corrective actions.
• Calculate alert levels for all ATA chapters and review performance standard targets periodically
• Inform Tech services departments of current fleet reliability issues and targets
• Fleet Technical Management – JSA/JJP
• Deliver Reliability Services to JJP, JSA and NWK as outlined in the SLA and JBA-IPM.
• Maintain regular communications and including regular interface meetings to ensure delivery of services and communications is maintained

To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate the following:

• A strong understanding of aviation Safety and compliance ideally within the context of a reliability program/ function
• Strong key internal and external stakeholder relationship ability- to identify and actively manage all fleet safety threats
• Ability to review and resolve fleet reliability program issues, including investigations;
• Ensuring all mandatory Training is completed
• Collaborate with department managers to drive improvements to aircraft reliability to ensure fleet health and operational performance consistently meets company targets
• Be a highly motivated self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work under pressure
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with an ability to coach and mentor
• The ability to work autonomously, as well as collaboratively with various business units
• Qualified to engineering degree level (BEng) or be a trained industry engineering professional (Aircraft trade certificate and/or Aircraft Maintenance License holder)
