Manages and provides leadership for the Pilot Crew Scheduling department:
Operational Management of the Pilot contract as it pertains to scheduling. This includes evaluating requests for changes and updates, writing, and publishing, determining impact and collecting feedback for a variety of customers.
Lead, develop and identify growth opportunities of the Scheduling Supervisors while providing support to the GM of Crew Scheduling.
Increasing staff productivity by devising performance institutive
Creative problem-solving skills. Finding new solutions rather than simply identifying and implementing the norm.
Tracking and ensuring FAR compliance with all Delta crew systems.
Act as a liaison between the FOP Base Operations leaders and FOP scheduling and in cross divisional meetings in regards to Crew Scheduling and Work Rule issues and impact.
- Will act as liaison between OCC and Crew Tracking
- Provide assistance, support and Work Rule impact evaluations with on-going crew systems enhancements and updates.
Assist in the managing, reporting and monitoring of departmental budget.
Promote and uphold the Delta culture through visible leadership - individual and group and verbal as well as written communication in order to promote Delta corporate goals and work place initiatives.
Provide leadership and operational assistance to Crew Scheduling as required
Ensure safety awareness and compliance throughout workplace.
Must ensure accurate documentation of safety, equipment and service related training qualifications for all Pilots.
Works with Flight Safety, Corporate Security and government agencies on audits..
Plays an integral role in the various audit processes established to ensure accurate and consistent policy/procedural application.

- BS/BA, preferably in information management systems, leadership, project management, or similar work experience. MBA preferred.
- Three to five years of proven experience in a leadership position effectively managing and driving for results or equivalent experience.
- Previous Crew scheduling experience preferred.
- Possess strong written and oral communication skills; able to produce strategic, concise documents and presentations for senior leaders.
- Ability to think strategically and demonstrate sound decision making in a high pressure, time critical environment.
- Must be a leader who is able to work in a time sensitive environment, operates comfortably within a rapidly changing environment, be a self-starter and highly motivated
- Must be proficient in use of standard Microsoft Office applications.
