The part you’ll play

To lead by example, ensuring a consistent delivery of high performance standards within the constraints of the Service Level Agreements of our Customer Airlines, maintaining rigorous Health & Safety standards and excellent working practices with the Company policies. You will implement a continuous improvement programme for your team and exercise budget control.

Utilising your leadership skills, you will lead and inspire your team to deliver excellent service and operational performance every day and ensure all standards, especially Safety and Security, are closely and consistently adhered to.

You’ll lead your team to deliver an optimum, time and cost efficient service to our customers every day and spend time identifying strengths and opportunities from the people within your teams to continually develop efficiencies, service improvements and business innovation.

You will use your excellent communication skills to liaise with airport stakeholders to build positive working relationships internally and externally. You will support the Senior Operational Management Teams in the development of the strategic business plans and effectively manage your local teams and budgets to deliver excellent service to our airport customers.

What you’ll need to bring

* Ability to manage, lead, direct and motivate the Melbourne Ramp Department both operationally and financially

* Experience of delivering against financial targets and working within a budgetary framework

* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Dispatch/Operations Control

* Excellent communication, leadership and people skills

* Previous experience supervising in an Operational environment

* Ability to drive through policies and procedures and represent the Company in a professional manner at all times

* A track record of delivering against key performance targets

* Working knowledge of RSMS and DCS systems

* Excellent business acumen

* Sound knowledge of Ramp Operations and procedures

* Competent in Microsoft Packages e.g. Word, Excel and Outlook

* Must be flexible
