DEA Aviation is a specialist airborne services provider and airworthiness management and maintenance organisation based at Retford/Gamston Airport. The Group flies Diamond DA42 & DA62 aircraft as part of its global AOC footprint in a plethora of operations, with DEA Engineering managing the airworthiness aircraft in varying classes and types.

 

An exciting opportunity has recently presented itself within the Management Systems department. More specifically, a Quality Manager is required to monitor the compliance of DEA Aviation’s airworthiness activities (Part-M / -145) in accordance with the relevant requirements (e.g. EASA / CAA, etc).

 

Job description:

Ultimately hold position of Form 4 Quality Manager (-M / -145)

Encourage a Just Culture and strive for continuous improvement

Work closely with the relevant stakeholders to ensure the Management Systems are running effectively

Carry out scheduled internal audits for airworthiness activities

Issue Findings to responsible personnel and manage corrective action

Manage authorisations of certifying staff

Convene meetings in accordance with published documentation

Liaison with the relevant competent authorities & agencies

 

Candidate minimum requirements:

Airworthiness related qualification (e.g. LAE, formal apprenticeship)

Appropriately trained in quality management (Part-M / Part-145)

5 years’ aviation experience relevant to the position

2 years’ experience in quality management and auditing

Experience working with the following environments (CAMO, & Part-145)

Self-motivated individual

High level of integrity

Assertive with good interpersonal communication skills

Acquiring and inquisitive mind

Excellent attention to detail

Sound management of deadlines

 

Candidate preferable requirements:

Experience in an AOC environment

Be willing to travel internationally

Experience liaising with competent authorities & agencies

Fully conversant of EASA & UK airworthiness regulations

Experience in open reporting and management systems

Experience of SMS
