Description

Purpose – Job Summary

Ensure the Company’s Quality System and procedures comply with the airworthiness authority and other regulatory bodies through planned audits and reviews.

Key Job Requirements

Repair and Overhaul Process

*

Commit and demonstrate the Safety culture at Dallas Airmotive.

*

Ensure product airworthiness during repair and overhaul process.

*

Assist operation leaders to drive accountability of mechanics and repairmen.

*

Drive activities to determine true Root Cause in quality non-conformances and identify Corrective Actions (RCCA).

*

Evaluate procedures and processes to determine compliance with applicable OE and regulatory requirements.

*

Interface with program engineer to ensure compliance with program repair and overhaul manuals.

*

Advocate and drive Foreign Object Damage (FOD) program awareness and implementation

*

Perform process certification projects and implement process improvements.

*

Implement the Operator Self-Verification Program.

*

Monitor and audit Program Tool accountability status

Process Audits

*

Conduct continual Process Driven Audits within assigned Program to verify system integrity and adherence to DAI QMS.

*

Perform and follow-up on Corrective Action Requests (CAR) from internal and external quality audits.

*

Review and revise Operational Procedures (OP) and Work Instructions (WI) as required.

*

Drive PTP compliance discipline with floor mechanics.

*

Monitor quality deviations and Corrective Actions.

*

Monitor process risks and implement mitigations.

*

Drive Product-level Corrective Action Board.

*

Provide input for program-level Warranty Review Board.

*

Certify and participate in Dallas Airmotive quality internal auditor.

*

Assist in monitoring tool and gauge calibration compliance status.

*

Metric Management

*

Maintain and report business quality metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPI)

*

Lead and communicate quality initiatives within module cells.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

*

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or similar discipline, or 3-5 years minimum of professional experience in manufacturing or repair / overhaul environment.

*

Have a fundamental understanding of quality philosophies, principles, systems, methods, tools, standards, organizational and team dynamics, customer expectations and satisfaction, supplier relations and performance, leadership, training, interpersonal relationships, improvement systems, and professional ethics.

*

Demonstrate fundamental understanding of a quality system and its development, documentation, and implementation to domestic and international standards or requirements.

Preferred Qualifications and Demonstrated Characters

*

Ability to assess risks and use appropriate assertiveness.

*

Ability to resolve conflicts and establish effective working relationships with internal customers.

*

Strong self-starter with ability to multi-task with minimum supervision.

*

Demonstrate good problem-solving and quality improvement tools and techniques, including knowledge of management and planning tools, quality tools, preventive / corrective actions, and overcoming barriers to quality improvements.

*

Certified Continuous Improvement Green Belt.

*

Working knowledge of FAA regulations for a FAR 145 Repair Station, ISO 9001/AS9100/AS9110, and experience in FAR 145 Repair Station.

*

Have a basic understanding of the audit process including types of audits, planning, preparation, execution, reporting results, and follow-up.

*

Be able to develop and implement quality programs, including tracking, analyzing, reporting, and problem solving.

*

Have basic knowledge of reliability, maintainability, and risk management, including key terms and definitions, modeling, systems design, assessment tools, and reporting.

*

Be able to acquire and analyze data using appropriate standard quantitative methods across a spectrum of business environments to facilitate process analysis and improvements.

*

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
