MPI have a requirement for a Quality Engineer to work on site in Gosport, Hampshire.

Contract is for approx 3 months to cover absence on site. 

Rate of pay is negotiable and will be discussed if selected for interview as will be dependant on experience starting at £25.00 per hour LTD

To provide independent assurance that all business procedures, maintenance and regulatory standards are being fully complied with and to develop processes to minimise quality escapes. This will include the full scope of problem solving from leading such events, through to interacting with customers, both internally and externally, as well as dealing with technical issues and facilitating improvements.

Key responsibilities and duties:

Undertake planned assurance activities including the performance process, product and compliance audits on both new product introductions as well as existing capabilities.

Perform proactive and regular operational activity surveillance promoting best practice as well as highlighting areas for improvement with a view to minimising the likelihood of quality escapes.

Assist the Operations, Engineering and all Support functions in the quality system and product investigation cycle as deemed necessary by Quality Management with the ultimate aim to minimise the possibility of faulty products reaching the customer, and improving in-house quality measures.

Ensure that any planned corrective / preventative actions are implemented within the desired timeframe and they are suitably robust to prevent recurrence of future similar and related quality escapes.

Assist in the management of the Company Non-Conformance Reporting System (Q-Pulse).

Influence and support all areas of the business in delivering Customer satisfaction 

Adherence to our Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety Management Systems (SMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and all associated Business Manuals. Position Requirements 

Professional Qualifications/Education and Training: 

Aeronautical apprenticeship or equivalent; (e)

HNC or equivalent; (e)

Must be familiar with internal and external auditing techniques and preferably hold internal auditing Certificate or be a qualified Lead Auditor/Assessor; (e)

Quality professional training and certification is desirable; (d)

Chartered Quality Practitioner. (d)

Current Human Factors certification (e)

Root cause corrective action trained

Experience:

Solid Engineering and technical experience

Good working knowledge of engineering, design, manufacturing and maintenance processes. 

Appreciation and understanding of aviation industry Quality Management System and Regulatory

Authority requirements including but not limited to ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9110, MAOS, DAOS, EASA 145, Parts 21G & J. 

Maintenance, repair and overhaul experience (MRO) experience is desirable
