Morson are currently recruiting for Quality Engineers to work with one of their esteemed Aerospace clients. The role will be based in Wimborne, near Poole, Dorset.
The role will be working with a key supplier as parts of a wider team in the UK on the test and development of a new military programme. Travel to other client suppliers around the UK will also be required on a frequent basis.
Reporting to the on-site management team, the successful candidate will have a background in quality/inspection, be able to understand and interpret 2D and 3D manufacturing drawings, production paperwork and manufacturing specifications.
Have experience in the inspection of machined and fabricated parts and assemblies and knowledge of the installation of electrical/electronic line replaceable units (LRU), experience on wire looms and fuel systems would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will also have experience in the review of First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) to the AS9102 standard, be able to articulate non-compliance/conformities to the document owners and progress through to a compliant resolution.
Knowledge and experience of the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) Type Certificate process would also be an advantage although training will be provided for successful candidates to carry out conformity inspections and test set-up as part of the FAA type approval process.
Computer skills will be required to input data into a number of different on and off-line systems and applications including Microsoft Office.
