As a Project Quality Engineer in Moog’s Aircraft Group you can expect to: The Project Quality Engineer has the unique responsibility for the planning, implementation, and administration of cost effective Quality Programs to assure that a system is in place which will meet or exceed contractual quality requirements and provide the required level of protection to Moog and its Customers. As a Quality professional at Moog, you’ll have the rare opportunity to have a measurable impact on the performance of our business by promoting the highest standards of quality. The hardware that we produce is very complex, and therefore we will be looking for someone who understands the critical nature of it. The Project Quality Engineer will be responsible for the following: * Mentor and lead a high performing team of Quality Engineers including establishing priorities and managing resources in alignment with the needs of the business * Lead and facilitate problem solving activities with ability to mobilize resources to develop solutions * Champion manufacturing and/or design improvements through cross-functional team interaction * Make independent decisions, provide direction, and support team on technical and program quality matters * Interface directly with the customer, regulatory, and government agencies in support of external audits, failure analysis, root cause/corrective action, and risk mitigation activities * Develop cost estimates and associated quality planning requirements for complex program/project proposals * Lead product integrity investigations and coordinate associated root cause and corrective action activities * Frequent interface with the various domestic and international Aircraft Group sites Qualifications: * A BS degree in Engineering with 8 years’ experience, or a Master’s degree in Applied Statistics with 4 years’ experience in Engineering * Knowledge of applied statistics and understanding of the design, manufacturing, and assembly of complex servomechanisms * Excellent verbal and written communication skills to confidently articulate thoughts clearly and concisely * Proficient user of various statistical, spreadsheet, word processing, and database software packages * Due to U.S. Government and Military contracts candidates must either be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder.
