Description

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an experienced engineer or technical professional to join a team dedicated to the design, fabrication, and advancement of state-of-the-art Printed Wiring Boards (PWB).

Candidate must have a working knowledge of Microwave Printed Circuit Boards (PCB), Rigid PWB, High Density PWB, Flex, and Rigid-Flex fabrication and/or design. This position entails coordination of design constraints, supplier capabilities, and customer contractual requirements to ultimately produce high yield functional hardware.

As a member of the team, the individual will be challenged to drive commonality across all programs and product lines, review and verify all new PWB designs, travel to board suppliers, develop alternate laminates and board materials, insert new technology, and sign-off on all PWB related drawings and supporting documentation.





Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

This position can be hired at either a Band 2 or Band 3 Level. The qualifications for each level are listed below.

Basic Qualifications for a Band 2:

-Either:

1.

B.S. Degree in engineering, mathematics, or physical science with a minimum of 2 years relevant work experience

2.

M.S. Degree in engineering, mathematics, or physical science with 0 years experience

3.
In Lieu of a S.T.E.M B.S Degree candidates with 6 years of relevant experience will be considered

-Experience in printed circuit board design and/or fabrication techniques.

-Good verbal and written communication skills

-Must have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance (U.S. Citizenship is a Pre-requisite).

Basic Qualifications for a Band 3:

-Either:

1.

B.S. Degree in engineering, mathematics, or physical science with a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience

2.

M.S. Degree in engineering, mathematics, or physical science with a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience

3.

In Lieu of a S.T.E.M B.S Degree candidates with 9 years of relevant experience will be considered

-Solid experience in printed circuit board design and/or fabrication techniques.

-Good verbal and written communication skills

-Must have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance (U.S. Citizenship is a Pre-requisite).

Preferred Qualifications for both Band Levels:

-Active secret clearance

-Working knowledge of one or more PCB CAD/CAM software packages

-Broad knowledge of available board materials, platings, etching techniques, lamination processes, bonding films, embedded resistors, drilling and PTH formation, and CCA assembly techniques.
