Chevron Technical Services’ customer has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager who will be based in Manchester working 37.5 Hours Per Week - Monday - Friday - 08.30hrs - 16.30hrs. The successful candidate will become a highly valued member of their team reporting directly to the Operations Manager.

The role will include:

  • Producing and defining detailed project proposals and associated time and budget
  • Planning, managing and tracking multiple projects
  • Managing a formal phase gate approval system
  • Monitoring all departments involved to ensure all individual tasks are completed on time and to budget

 Applicants should:

  • Have significant Project Management experience within the mechanical engineering industry
  • Hold an Engineering degree or equivalent
  • Be Prince 2 or AMP qualified (or equivalent)
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.

 Primary Accountabilities:

  • Producing and defining detailed project proposals and associated time and budget
  • Planning, managing and tracking multiple projects
  • Managing a formal phase gate approval system
  • Monitoring all departments involved to ensure all individual tasks are completed on time and to budget
  • Providing regular status updates and driving alignment across the Company
  • Designing and installing new and improving current processes
  • Delivering projects in line with health and safety legislation requirements
  • Identifying and implementing line efficiency and operator procedural improvements

 Personal Skills / Attributes:

  • At least 3 years of Project Management experience within the mechanical engineering industry
  • Engineering degree or equivalent
  • Prince 2 or AMP qualified (or equivalent)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Meticulous attention to detail, methodical approach to work ensuring accuracy at all times
  • Reliable and trustworthy
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach
  • Flexible and adaptable in approach
  • Confident and calm under pressure
