Reporting to the Assistant Director, Business Intelligence and Strategy Development (with a matrix reporting line to the Manager Member and External Relations, the Project Manager, Regional Affairs Projects will be a member of the Regional Affairs group managing one or several regional projects during their entire lifecycle, from the BC preparation to their execution and closure.

Responsibilities

Manage the projects that she/he is assigned to following IATA’s project management methodologies
Accountable to deliver project deliverables reaching the objectives determined by the Project’s Sponsors in Scope, Time, Cost and Quality
Assist the project Sponsors to obtain the desired business benefits from the projects being delivered
Manage the project teams assigned when applicable
Contribute to the improvement of Project Management practices participating actively in the regional Projects Community activities

Qualifications and Skills

Minimum 4 years’ experience in Project Management
Desirable PMI PMP© certification in good standing
Experience working with remote virtual teams
Experience in international multicultural environments
High project management skills planning, organizing and planning projects
Team management and leadership skills
Customer and stakeholder management skills
Excellent communication skills
Good negotiation skills
High innovation skills, capable to participate in the definition of best practices, new solutions or methodologies
Preferably good knowledge of IATA or the aviation industry
