Project Manager product SWISSness Reloaded

Position description

With introducing the matrix organization of the Lufthansa Group, we have grown together much closer and share a lot of responsibilities with Lufthansa and Austrian Airlines colleagues. However, we also have the responsibility to keep the SWISS brand alive with our own, strong brand and customer experience. The aim of the program "SWISSness Reloaded" is to translate the brand values of SWISS into signature customer experiences and concrete products, services and rituals. SWISSness Reloaded is embedded in the product department and will contain of about 6 different projects over a timeline of about 12 months. A big number of ideas have been developed in a cross- functional and cross-hierarchical approach over the last few months and now need to be prioritized, prepared and implemented.

In the role as a Project Manager you will be responsible to support project teams with stakeholders from different departments within this program and help them executing their tasks within the given frameworks.

The Program is sponsored by the SWISS CEO and regularly reports to a group of Senior Executives, including the SWISS CCO.

You will be based in Zurich and report to the SWISSness Reloaded program owner (ZRH S/EJ).

Your Duties

Create a relevant story around upcoming projects by defining the connection to SWISSness and our airline culture

*
Map out current customer journeys and identify opportunities

*
Develop competitive benchmark studies

*
Initiate workshops with the relevant stakeholders to develop new concepts and products for our customer journey on the ground and in the air

*
Challenge and secure "SWISSness" throughout all project phases

*
Secure customer centricity by initiating trials and/or customer surveys

*
Establish, manage and enforce project plan

*
Manage project team throughout entire project by initiating status update meetings, coordinating between project streams and enforcing timelines

*
Stakeholder management: inform and involve at the right times

*
Plan, monitor and report costs of the assigned projects

*
Establish management presentations and decision documents for project approval in collaboration with the Programme Owner

*
Support SWISSness Reloaded Communication Manager to establish project marketing and status updates towards management or other internal stakeholder groups

*
Representation of the SWISSness Reloaded project at various meetings and events

Requirements

*
University Degree or equivalent

*
Critical, constructive, inspiring, supportive and motivating team player

*
Proven background in project management skills (agile & scrum)

*
Good understanding of the Swiss culture

*
Experience in the airline industry, if possible with airline products or on-board experience

*
Ability to coordinate multiple projects in a fast paced, deadline driven, multi-location / multi cultural matrix work environment

*
Self-motivated with a can-do attitude and the ability to influence and motivate others with fresh and new ideas

*
Passionate about customer experience and product development

*
Experience in a large organisation

*
High social skills

*
Passion for the airline industry

*
Strong ability to quickly capture complex tasks and develop pragmatic and creative solutions

Good communication skills and very good facilitation skills to clarify functional, methodology and technical issues

Presentation skills

A positive and forward looking personality with a real can-do attitude

Fluent in German and English (spoken/written)

Willingness to travel occasionally
