We have an exciting Project Manager opportunity at our Palmdale Flight Operations Facility that will report to the Operations, Aviation Safety and Compliance group in Poway, CA. Under limited supervision, this position will be responsible for ensuring Aviation Safety and Compliance requirements and initiatives are met and flowed down at the company’s flight operations facilities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Be the subject matter expert on Aviation Safety Compliance requirements.
* Participates in post mishap/incident huddles and flight briefs.
* Coordinates with Investigative Representatives, Integration Engineering, Supervisors and Management to ensure incident corrective actions are implemented and effective.
* Develop initiatives to reduce Incident rates and cost.
* Tracks all incidents and ensures completion of incident reports.
* Coordinates closely with various departments to ensure that incident repair costs are accurately captured.
* Serves as backup to the Investigative Representatives.
* Ensures accurate incident data is captured and managed in aviation safety database.
* Leads efforts to implement and manage safety compliance requirements at the flight operations facilities.
* Work closely with FOF Management to ensure flow down (to all levels) of aviation safety program initiatives.
* Assists with the development and implementation of safety compliance training.
* Supports or lead aviation safety and compliance related meetings.
* Submits and tracks to delivery, Sale Orders in SAP for inventory replenishment of damaged hardware.
* Analyzes damaged parts, assemblies, equipment’s and systems to determine depot repair or BER status IAW Government Property guidelines.
* Track depot repair work orders, NCR’s and labor to capture total unallowable incident cost to meet Government reporting requirements
* Assist in aviation safety related projects.
* Maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
* Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
* Expected to maintain a productive and safe working environment in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
* Other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications

* Typically requires a Bachelors in Business Administration or related discipline and at least six years of progressively complex experience in project administration. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
* Must have a good understanding of project management processes and procedures, planning and scheduling methods, and budget management as well as the ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate workloads to meet established milestones and budgets.
* Must possess:
* (1) the ability to initiate, plan and manage projects;
* (2) the ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret data and develop solutions to a wide range of issues;
* (3) strong communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills; and,
* (4) the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be able to work extended hours and travel as required.

* Prior experience in aviation, safety, or the aerospace industry desired.
* Experience with regulatory and compliance standards desired.
* Security Clearance desired.
* US Citizenship required.
