Description

Reporting to the Madrid Team Lead, the Project Manager - FDS Projects will be a member of the FDS PMO team (Financials and Distribution Services Project Management Office). The Project Manager will be managing one or several FDS projects during their entire lifecycle, from the business case preparation, throughout the project setup and execution, and until closure and handover to the business owner.

Responsibilities

* Manage the assigned projects, following FDS and IATA’s project management methodologies.
* Ensure project deliverables are completed within scope, time, cost and quality constraints.
* Deliver technical solutions with multiple system integrations observing Audit and IT Security requirements.
* Ensure that assigned projects meet all external and internal requirements effecting the project (Ex. GDPR, Sanctions, Legal, etc.)
* Act as an extended business analyst to the project and contributing in the product and/or solution design and BRDs (Business Requirements Document).
* Ensure the projects reach the objectives determined by their respective Sponsors.
* Assist the projects’ Sponsors in obtaining the desired business benefits from the projects delivered.

* Contribute to IATA’s project management best practices, participating actively in FDS and IATA Projects Community activities.
* Participate and contribute to Innovation workshops and initiatives aiming at identifying new solutions or methodologies.

Qualifications and Skills

* University degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance. Alternative degrees can be considered based on experience and self-development.
* 10 years of professional experience in relevant areas, including 4 years of experience in Project Management.
* Finance and Accounting knowledge and experience are an asset as most projects are oriented towards financial services and products.
* Outstanding organizational skills, with the ability to manage a global scope and team, effectively prioritize, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
* PMI PMP© certification in good standing would be an asset.
* SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) knowledge and experience is an asset.
* Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
* Strong stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills.
* Preferably good knowledge of IATA, the aviation industry. Knowledge of IATA Financial systems and their components would be an advantage.
* Interpersonal skills and the ability to manage interdependencies with multiple teams and departments.
* High proficiency in MS Office applications.
* High proficiency in English is mandatory.
* Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
* Candidate must possess and exhibit IATA brand values.
