Procurement Specialist

Get onboard the UTC Aerospace Operations and Supply Chain team and play a part in managing our innovative products from inception to delivery. Operations and Supply Chain employees have the opportunity to network across our businesses and functions, all while improving the productivity, quality and efficiency of our operations worldwide.

* Manage various aspects of high/low volume sourcing projects within the manufacturing plant/engineering.
* Implementing and re-negotiating vendor contracts.
* Provide management support for facilities.
* Participate on global teams to provide procedural consistency and exchange of best practices.
* Develop strong, functional relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders.
* Develop category strategy plans that are aligned to customers business objectives with a strategic approach to maximize value, reduce risk and effectively manage and reduce risk of the supply of goods and/or services
* Manage supplier relationships through Supplier Relationship Management process.
* Perform data analysis to evaluate spend, cost savings and identify new opportunities
* Perform supplier management and identify long term plans( VA/VE)
* Write complex documents such as MTAs and Statements of Work (SOW).
* Follow industry professionals and organizations to maintain an awareness of best practices.
* Ensure that all practices are consistent with industry guidelines and regulations.

Qualification:

* CPSM or other related certification preferred.|
* 5 years or more of work experience in sourcing or similar roles.
* Strong record of the ability to handle large contracts in manufacturing.
* Familiarity with sourcing and key supplier management
* Proficiency in SAP preferred
* Excellent negotiation and networking skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication.
* Strong project management and leadership skills
* Comfortable with figures and in collecting, analyzing and interpreting data
* Solid judgement with ability to make good decisions

Education:

* 4-year degree (Bachelors of Science or Bachelors or Art) Mandatory
* Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration
* Master (Preferred)
