Job Description

PURPOSE:

Under guidance of the Process Engineer and Investing Supervisor the Process Engineering Technician performs laboratory testing of the shell system to assure it meets OPC limits. Technician is also responsible to maintain the scrap crib. This includes processing daily scrap in Visibility, keeping scrap pending inventory low and moving scrap out of the scrap crib to the revert areas.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Provide accurate and timely testing of slurry parameters for as required in OPC.

•Keep accurate and detailed records of the test results to process engineer and department supervision.

•Perform routine maintenance of equipment; maintain logs of routine and non-routine maintenance and problems.

•Coordinate daily scrap meeting including bring product for review in to the scrap crib, transacting the scrap process in system, and moving scrap parts to the revert area.

•Work with manufacturing and engineering to keep scrap pending inventory low.

•Other duties to support process engineering and quality organization as defined by supervision.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

•Basic knowledge of laboratory testing procedures is required.

•Previous experience with Visibility and associated programs is preferred.

•Experience using Microsoft Office applications.

•Good problem solving and analytical skills required.

•Effective written and oral communication skills.

•Detail-oriented individual with good organizational skills.

•Ability to pass visual acuity tests per Quality Department standards.

•Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing read, follow, and interpret instructions on technique cards, code sheets, procedures.

•Ability to lift and move scrap product from the scrap crib to the revert area.

•Must be willing to work weekends when required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

•High school graduate or equivalency is required.

•Additional college/technical schooling or equivalent work experience is preferred.

•Strong learning aptitude required.
