Description

Based in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, you will lead according to schedule, all aspects of on-site interface definition, installation, testing, and commissioning of all aspects of the system, including vehicle and wayside equipment.

In your role you will:

-
Design engineering systems and complex interfaces, gather and analyse complicated technical data for projects;

Develop and manage interface requirements for APM (Automated People Mover), monorail, and metro systems;

Lead team and customer status meetings, produce documentation and prioritize project initiatives;

Perform requirements engineering tasks (requirements allocation, evaluation, clarifications, etc.) and develop systems level requirements from customer; specifications, industry standards and internal requirements;

Participate in design reviews to ensure proper system interface and integration; Coordinate the efforts of System Integration colleagues, and develop various System Engineering related customer deliverables (alarms, System Design Review, System Description Document, etc.)

Oversee system and operational performance;

Be informed of advancements in signalling technology and provide input into product road mapping;

Attend cross-functional project meetings to ensure timeliness and project quality;

Ensure compliance with division and department processes;

Provide updates to Management and Leadership.

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate:

- You hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering; a Master’s degree (is considered as an asset);

- You possess at least seven (7) years of experience in a systems integration and railroad signalling role;

- You demonstrate a proven track record of providing technical project leadership for completion on schedule and within budget;

- You possess extensive experience leading project engineering teams;

- You demonstrate a high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office and other internet applications;

- You can operate independently while establishing strong working relationships with co-workers and cross-functional teams;

- You possess strong organizational and prioritization skills;

- You demonstrate critical attention to detail and deadlines, and are self-motivated;

- You possess the ability to adapt well to change in direction and priorities in a project and deadline-oriented environment;

- Your written and verbal English communication skills are excellent.
