Job Summary:

Under very limited supervision with considerable latitude in assignments perform DO254 ASIC verification work for a GPS receiver System on a Chip (SoC). The candidate should be able to work as part of an independent verification team working on verification of the ASIC design and ensuring that DAL B DO254 requirements are met. The position requires one to plan and execute phases of verification and to coordinate the efforts of engineers and support staff. Job requires the ownership of the DO254 verification of major sections of the ASIC design, traceable to requirements. A knowledge of the ASIC design and DO254 verification process from requirements specifications, ASIC design, verification testing, SRR, PDR, CDR, RTF, RTP, and RTL signoff is a requirement. Knowledge of DOORS, Cadence Palladium and GPS signal processing is a plus.

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience :

• Masters or Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 10 years experience.

• Applicants should have experience with RTL coding, DO254 certification and ASIC design experience required.

• Direct experience with GPS receiver design is a plus.

• Experience with validation techniques associated with GPS receivers, GPS receiver signal processing, GPS theory, signals in space, security techniques are desired.

• Good written and verbal communication skills are a must.

• Candidate must have ability to successfully interact with other Engineering disciplines including Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, FPGA/ASIC developers, and software engineering functions.

• Capable of working in a team environment with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and provide direction to associate engineers and technicians.

• Some weekends and evenings will be required.

Special Requirements: Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet and maintain eligibility requirements for access to DoD classified information.
