Job Role:
Barnes Aerospace West Chester OEM division is seeking a Press Operator. If you are a high-energy, motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, please submit your resume for further consideration. This position reports to Operations Supervisor.
Core Responsibilities:
* Perform all operations necessary to operate machines to perform drill, punch, deburring and cutting operations on diversified, close tolerance work.
* Monitor parts dimensions using jigs, fixtures, gages, calipers, micrometers and height gages to assure conformity of parts.
* Complete paperwork required to document the quality of parts completed.
* Checks paperwork to determine required assembly and any special options.
* Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and sub-assemblies, per customer order.
* Uses precision measuring tools to check parts for correct fit and dimensions.
Required Skills
Qualifications:
* 1+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in Aerospace assembly.
* Able to use basic math to add, subtract, multiply or divide and may work with fractions, decimals or percentages.
* Able to follow simple instructions or directions.
* Able to communicate verbally and in writing as to work requirements, work in progress or work completion.
Education Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
