The Pilot Recruiter plays a key role in creating a qualified pool of pilot candidates, in advance of need, to fill vacancies and is responsible to attract the most qualified individual. The Piedmont Pilot Recruiter is one of the most visible representatives of Piedmont and American Airlines Group.

The Pilot Recruiter’s behavior and appearance will be observed closely by a wide range of people. Therefore, it is imperative that the Pilot Recruiter represent Piedmont in the most positive and professional light when acting on behalf of Piedmont at recruiting events, personal interviews, social media, or anywhere an association can be made between the Pilot Recruiter and Piedmont Airlines or American Airlines Group.

Pilot Recruiters are responsible for recruiting prospective pilots through the interview process, to include qualifications screening, technical and non-technical questions and determining candidate’s overall suitability in accordance with established policies. The job duties are listed below and are not all encompassing.

* Generate leads via different social media channels for the Pilot Recruiting Department
* Pre-Screen and schedule qualified applicants for Interviews.
* Interview prospective pilots
* Assist new hire pilots with any issues/concerns prior to beginning class
* Represent Piedmont Airlines at flight schools and other institutions and organizations
* Assist in planning and attending career/job fairs and other pilot recruiting events
* Act as a liaison with industry contacts, as required
* Extensive travel required
* Other duties as assigned
* Base location is negotiable

Minimum Qualifications:

* Ability to work independently, set and meet own deadlines
* Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations and Aeronautical Information Manual
* Ability to work well with all levels of management and support staff
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent MS Office Suite skills
* Flexible schedule
* Motivation to succeed
* At least 18 years of age
* High School Diploma or GED
* Valid Driver’s License

Preferred Qualifications:

* Full life cycle recruiting experience
* Knowledge of federal and state employment law
* Bachelor’s degree in related field
* FAA Pilot Certificate
* Aircraft maintenance experience
* Airline Industry knowledge
* International pilot hiring experience
* Human Resource and talent acquisition experience

Work Environment:

* Standard office environment, use of computers and other office equipment.
* Frequent overnight travel is required.
